Two men were in custody early Friday after a pursuit of an allegedly stolen pickup truck from Hollywood to Sun Valley.
A Los Angeles Police Department patrol vehicle sustained minor damage during the pursuit when it was hit by the rolling pickup after the driver abandoned it.
The driver, a male in his 20s with a gang affiliation, was arrested nearby in the 11,000 block of Stagg Avenue, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Titus Tyler.
The pursuit of the red Chevrolet pickup began in Hollywood around 12:55 a.m. and continued on the Hollywood (101 and 170) Freeways, and surface streets in the San Fernando Valley before the driver attempted to escape from the moving truck around 1:15 a.m.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, and a passenger on suspicion of being an accessory, Tyler said.
