A Jeep that had reportedly been seen speeding flipped over at a tunnel on Kanan-Dume Road north of Malibu Saturday.
A witness told the CHP that the vehicle had been speeding on the twisting mountain road when it crashed inside Tunnel 2, about a mile north of the Mulholland Highway crossing.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 9:34 a.m. While the northbound tunnel was blocked, traffic was alternated in the southbound tunnel by the CHP and sheriff’s deputies.
