Authorities on Wednesday sought the public’s help to solve the killings of two men who were gunned down in the Rancho Dominguez area in May.

Omar Williams, 18, and Jason Pina, 20, were fatally shot in their vehicle on May 5, 2014, in the 17600 block of Santa Fe Avenue, said Nicole Nishida of the sheriff’s department.

At a news conference this morning, detectives released composite drawings of two men seen in leaving the area where the crime occurred in a dark- colored SUV. One was in his early 30s the second suspect is in his late 20s.

The suspects fled in a large dark-colored SUV.

Williams was a junior college student who had just passed a test to work as a janitor for Los Angeles County. Pina was in training with Southern California Edison and had a 3-year-old son.
