A truck making deliveries to an Ikea store spilled up to 65 gallons of fuel near Burbank Boulevard and San Fernando Road in Burbank Monday night.
The truck had a damaged fuel tank and diesel fuel was spilled from the Burbank Boulevard off-ramp from the Golden State (5) Freeway to the Ikea store, said Peter J. Hendrickson of the Burbank Fire Department.
Hazardous materials teams and other personnel were called to control the flow and keep it from entering the storm drains.
Burbank Public Works was called to manage street clean up. The Burbank Police Department came for traffic control and to gather information on cost recovery, Hendrickson said.
No injuries were reported.
