About 30 people, many of them children, were displaced from a Koreatown apartment complex Sunday after exterior stucco collapsed, authorities said.
The partial collapse was reported at 8:01 p.m. at a two-story apartment complex at 2981 W. Eighth St. in Koreatown, Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Eight units were affected, Main said.
Building inspectors were checking the structural integrity of the complex and firefighters were assisting the displaced residents with temporary shelter in vacant units and providing support as needed, Main said.
