A 22-year-old Pomona man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a Jan. 14 collision that killed another motorist, police said.
The District Attorney’s Office filed a single felony count of vehicular manslaughter against Javier Luviano after an investigation by the Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
Eric Savengrith was fatally injured in the collision that occurred in an industrial complex in the 4000 block of Valley Boulevard, police said. Luviano pulled out onto Valley Boulevard and struck the victim’s vehicle, investigators said.
Luviano was being held on $50,000 bail pending arraignment tomorrow at the Pomona courthouse.
