A woman and her two dogs were rescued from a cliff in the Angeles National Forest after one of the canines ran off a trail.
The 65-year-old woman from Pasadena was hiking on the Cabin Trail in Millard Canyon when one of the dogs ran from the trail and onto a steep slope with loose rock around 5 p.m., Thursday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Cruz Solis said.
The woman attempted to retrieve her dog and became stuck on a cliff, about 50 feet above the trail, Solis said.
Members of the Altadena Mountain Rescue team lifted her and the dogs safely off the cliff around 8:40 p.m., Solis said.
The woman was not injured, Solis said.
