A motorcyclist in his 50s was killed in a collision with a vehicle or vehicles on the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Alhambra.

The collision occurred at South Fremont Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at a hospital around 12:10 a.m., according to CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos.

The cause of the accident was under investigation, Villalobos said. It was unclear if one or several vehicles had been involved in the accident.

Three of the freeway’s four westbound lanes were closed for the accident investigation, Villalobos said.
