A person was fatally struck by a train in the city of Industry early Friday.
The victim was hit by a Union Pacific freight train near the intersection of Railroad Street and South Jellick Avenue around 12:40 a.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Alex Canchola.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives and county coroner officials were attempting to determine the victim’s identity, Canchola said.
