Police sought the public’s assistance Friday in locating four males suspected of breaking into a home in San Marino.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 10 p.m. on May 29 to reports of a residential burglary that was in progress in the 1200 block of Patton Way, two blocks east of Lacy Park, according to the San Marino Police Department.
Police said the victims were in their bedroom when they heard a loud banging sound from the first floor, prompting one of them to yell out if anyone was inside the home, but they did not receive a reply.
Surveillance video later revealed to the victims, after checking their camera, that four male suspects had entered the backyard and damaged the rear French door, shattering the glass of the door’s window pane to their home.
The suspects were described as four males last seen wearing gloves, hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants, facial coverings and carrying used communication devices.
There were no items reported missing from the home, and a perimeter was immediately established with assistance from the Alhambra Police Department, South Pasadena Police Department, Pasadena Police Department and its helicopter unit.
The suspects were not located at the property or within the area after investigators conducted an extensive search.
