[symple_googlemap title=”” location=”600 block 23rd Street, Manhattan Beach, CA” height=”300″ zoom=”13″]An injured man who claimed his cell phone and cash were stolen by a bodyguard after an aborted meeting with a woman he met on Craigslist for sex was arrested after investigators discovered he had an out-of-state warrant for larceny, police said Wednesday.

Police responded to the 600 block 23rd Street about 9:50 p.m. Thursday to investigate an alleged robbery, Manhattan Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Martin said.

At the scene, officers found 54-year-old Christopher James Carlile of Manhattan Beach bleeding from a wound to his head. Carlile told police his cell phone and $500 were taken from him by the bodyguard of a woman he contacted on Craiglist to arrange a sexual encounter, Martin said.

Carlile was uncooperative with police and didn’t want the alleged robbery investigated, according to Martin. Officers then discovered Carlile was wanted in Oregon and had an outstanding no bail warrant for larceny, which included extradition, she said.

Carlile was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries and then arrested on the outstanding warrant, Martin said.

He is jailed on a no-bail hold at the sheriff’s Twin Towers facility, according to jail records.
