Metro Red Line service was interrupted Thursday in the North Hollywood area while deputies sought and took into custody a person seen trespassing on the tracks near the Universal/Studio City Station, authorities said.
The investigation began about 12:30 p.m., when authorities received a report from a passing train that someone was seen walking on the tracks in a tunnel, according to Ramon Montenegro of the sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau.
Officials suspended service between the North Hollywood and the Hollywood/Highland stations and began looking for the person, who was taken into custody about 1:45 p.m., Montenegro said.
The tracks were reopened a few minutes later.
