Four men were behind bars Tuesday in connection with the killing of a 47-year-old man who was shot in a Long Beach alley.
Lawrence Lee Casados, a father of three, was found dead from a gunshot wound just before 11 p.m. April 4 in the 2700 block of East South Street. According to a fundraising website established by his family to cover funeral costs, Casados was “enjoying a night out with friends and family” but he “found himself a victim of wrong timing and place and ultimately, brutally murdered.”
Long Beach police announced today the arrests of four people. According to police:
— Derrick Kujuan Murphy, 29, of Palmdale, was arrested April 23 and subsequently charged with murder, along with gang allegations of alleged personal use of a firearm;
— Murray Terry McCrea, 26, of Victorville, was arrested April 28 and charged with murder, along with gang allegations.
— Donte Dumont Lee, 28, of Apple Valley, was also arrested April 28 and charged with being an accessory after the fact.
— Dominic Jermaine Dixon, 28, of Downey, was arrested Thursday in Compton, and later charged with murder, along with gang and gun-use allegations.
All four are being held at the Los Angeles County Jail. Lee is being held on a $500,000 bail and the other three are being held on $2 million bail each.
