A woman was killed when the driver of a Mercedes she was riding in got into a “road rage” crash with a taxi driver, then sped into a concrete wall, Beverly Hills Police said Saturday.

The woman was identified as Sasha Gibson, 33, said Coroner’s Lt. Dave Smith. He said the preliminary report did not have a place of residence for her.

The driver may have been drunk or on other drugs, said Beverly Hills Police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino in a crash report.

Police would not reveal if the driver has been cited or arrested.

The Mercedes Benz sedan’s driver was in a minor”road rage’ crash involving a taxi cab near Pico Boulevard and Swall Drive in the City of Los Angeles at 11:58 p.m. Friday.

Seconds later, the Mercedes smashed into an Audi SUV at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Swall Drive, in the City of Los Angeles, Hoshino said. It then hit several trees and a concrete wall, he said.

Gibson, who was not wearing her seatbelt, and was killed, the police lieutenant said.

An undisclosed number of other people in the white Mercedes Benz were rushed to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, he said.
