LA firefighters put out four structural fires across Southland on Sunday afternoon, the most serious of which was a chemical fire where more than 100 firefighters battled the blaze at an industrial plant in Pacoima.

No injuries were were reported in that blaze, which was reported at 1:36 p.m. at 12825 Rangoon St., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

No formal evacuations were ordered and crews contained flammable runoff on or near the property, Humphrey said.

The substance or substances involved were not identified.

A total of 114 firefighters responded to the scene and knocked down the fire in 48 minutes, he said.

While the fire burned, at least one parked vehicle was reported on fire and a structure was threatened, Humphrey said.

In North Hollywood, firefighters were able knocked down a stubborn fire at storage facility.

The fire was reported at 2:37 p.m. at a one-story storage building in the 7300 block of Bellaire Avenue, just south of Saticoy Street, Humphrey said.

The pesky blaze burned in at least six small, densely packed interior rental storage units, Humphrey said.

Sixty-three firefighters took 72 minutes to knock down the fire, he said.

Elsewhere, a fire damaged one unit on the third floor of a three-story apartment building in the Harbor Gateway community of Los Angeles.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire at 1652 W. 204th St., but four children and three adults were displaced and were being assisted by the Red Cross, Humphrey said.

Firefighters dispatched to the location at 12:21 p.m. had the fire out within 15 minutes of their arrival, Humphrey said.

The fire did an estimated $65,000 damage to the structure and another $20,000 to its contents, Humphrey said.

And a third fire tore through a two-story home in Eagle Rock, but no one was injured.

The fire in the 5000 block of Argus Drive was reported at 3:35 p.m., Humphrey said.

Fifty-seven firefighters responded and knocked down the flames in 22 minutes, Humphrey said.
