Three men sitting in a vehicle were shot and slightly wounded Wednesday during a carjacking in the Westlake district, police said.
One of the victims had a graze wound to the head, but none were seriously injured, a Los Angeles Police Officer said.
The officer said the victims, all in their early 20s, were dropping a friend off at a gas station in the 2400 block of West Temple Street when they were approached by two men who began arguing with them. One of the two men then produced a handgun and fired at the men in the car before the suspects made off with the vehicle, she said.
The suspects drove a block west to North Rampart Boulevard, where they abandoned the vehicle, the officer said.
The victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, she said.
