It took 34 Los Angeles firefighters 14 minutes Tuesday afternoon to put out flames in a Valley Glen apartment that extended into the attic.

The fire was reported at 5:47 p.m. in a unit in the two-story garden-style apartment building at 7051 N. Coldwater Canyon Ave., between Vanowen Street and Sherman Way, said the Los Angeles Fire Department‘s Margaret Stewart.

Firefighters reported the fire showed minor spread into the attic before they put it out, Stewart said.

No injuries were reported, she said. The cause was under investigation.
