A former security guard at a Marina del Rey apartment complex was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for gunning down his supervisor.

Byron Keith Street, 48, of Inglewood, was convicted last Friday of first- degree murder for the Dec. 30, 2013, killing of Patrick Odoi-Kyene.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark Young imposed the life term.

Odoi-Kyene was found dead shortly before 3 a.m. Dec. 30, 2013, outside the upscale Shores apartment complex in the 4200 block of Via Marina.

The 47-year-old victim — who was Street’s immediate supervisor — was shot to death a day after the two had an argument about Street bringing his girlfriend to work.

Jurors found true a special circumstance allegation that Odoi-Kyene was murdered during the course of a burglary.

Street was also convicted of one count each of first-degree burglary, false personation and using a counterfeit seal, along with three counts of vandalism.
