A man was fatally shot in a downtown Los Angeles garment manufacturing business late Wednesday afternoon, and his assailant was being sought.
The shooting occurred about 4:15 p.m. inside a building on East Seventh Street between Main and Los Angeles streets, said Officer Liliana Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Office.
The gunman fled on foot and the unidentified victim was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.
According to reports from the scene, two workers got into an argument and one left, returned with a gun and opened fire.
