Two boys are hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds Wednesday after being fired on in a drive-by shooting in Pasadena, police said.
The shooting took place near McGrew Alley about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, said Pasadena Police Lt. John Luna.
“Three juveniles were walking towards the alley when a car pulled up and a passenger in the front seat opened fire out of the window at the three victims,” Luna said. “Two of the victims suffered gunshot wounds and the third person escaped injury.”
Luna said another juvenile was sitting in a nearby car that was struck by some of the rounds and suffered a minor abrasion that was treated at the scene.
One of the two victims shot on the street suffered wounds to his hand, thigh and buttocks, Luna said, and the other was shot in the left ankle. Both boys were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds and are stable, he said.
The suspects, men in their 20s or 30s, fled in a dark vehicle westbound on Parke Street, Luna said.
The police investigation shut down traffic in the Los Robles Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard area for nearly four hours.
Anyone with information on these suspects was urged to call the Pasadena police at (6260 744-4241. All tips can be made anonymously.
