A tardy pizza delivery escalated into a fight in Covina, leaving the customer slashed and the Domino’s pizza driver facing likely felony charges, police said.
The victim, a 20-year-old Covina resident, got into the fight over the delayed pie at about 11:35 p.m. Saturday, police said. Paramedics were summoned to the 600 block of North Mangrove Avenue, and took the man to a hospital with knife wounds to his neck and arm.
Officers went to the nearby Domino’s Pizza outlet and arrested Michael Charles Parker, 31, of Glendora. Police said they will recommend assault with a deadly weapon charges to be filed again him.
Parker was freed after posting a $30,000 bail, and arraignment was scheduled for March 21, police said.
