The pedestrian was identified as Guillermo Carrillo, a resident of Lake Los Angeles in the desert east of Lancaster, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Carrillo was walking on or near the roadway on Avenue N-8, just west of 167th Street East when he was struck by a 1990 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck, which drove away from the scene, the CHP reported.
