Firefighters and police Sunday were working to determine how a woman died whose body was found in a two-story apartment building on fire in East Hollywood.
Firefighters dispatched to 1528 N. Hobart Blvd. near Sunset Boulevard arrived with reports of a person trapped inside the apartment building and had the fire out within 11 minutes of their arrival, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Scott said the Mayor’s Crisis Response team was dispatched to the scene.
There were no further details available as to the cause of the Saturday fire, a damage estimate or the cause of death and identity of the victim.
