Two people were killed Tuesday in a freeway collision in Agoura Hills, authorities said.

A big rig and a car were involved in the accident on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway just west of Chesebro Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said. The crash was reported at 12:40 a.m.

A SigAlert was issued, with the freeway reduced to one lane, Villalobos said. All lanes were reopened about 5 a.m., the CHP reported.

The names of the fatally injured people were withheld, pending family notification. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
