A pickup truck collided with a Metro bus with 23 people aboard Monday in South Los Angeles, sending one person from the bus and the pickup driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash was reported at 4:53 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Gage Avenue, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver was the pickup truck’s sole occupant. He was in serious but stable condition when taken to a hospital.

Of the people on the bus, one person complained of a headache and was experiencing high blood pressure and was also taken to a hospital, Humphrey said.
