A Los Angeles man will be arraigned Monday after he was jailed in lieu of $1 million bail for suspicion of stabbing his ex-girlfriend and a younger woman multiple times in West Covina.

Eduardo Marin, 46, was booked into the West Covina jail for suspicion of attempted murder after he turned himself in to East Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies Thursday.

West Covina officers were called at 9:06 p.m. Thursday to the 3100 block of Adrienne Drive, said West Covina police Corporal Tim Rodgers.

The 42-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman had suffered multiple stab wounds, Rodgers said. Both women were taken to a hospital where the 42-year- old woman was listed in critical condition and the 22-year-old woman had stable vital signs.

There was no word from authorities about a possible motive.

Marin is scheduled for arraignment Monday in a West Covina court, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
