A giant fire at a recycling facility in Ontario created plumes of black smoke visible in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The fire started around 4:23 p.m. Friday at a cardboard recycling facility, according to ABC7.
The blaze crossed nearby railroad tracks and set fire to some track pieces and a fence, but firefighters were quick to control those flames.
Ontario Fire Department officials said no other structures were threatened by the blaze, but firefighters were concerned that winds could send sparks to nearby buildings.
The black smoke could be seen in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
