A Lancaster man has been sentenced to six years in jail for secretly recording video of women in restaurant bathrooms, including a Denny’s,  in the Antelope Valley last fall.

Jesus Calvario, 22, pleaded no contest Wednesday to 14 misdemeanor counts of unauthorized invasion of privacy, three misdemeanor counts of unauthorized invasion of privacy of an identifiable person and one misdemeanor count of possession of methamphetamine.

Calvario waived credit for the time he had already served behind bars since his Nov. 13 arrest, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Along with the jail term, Calvario was ordered to complete one year of sexual compulsion control classes and serve three years on probation, said Deputy District Attorney Yujin Yi.

Calvario went into the women’s restrooms in a Denny’s restaurant in Lancaster and a Mi Ranchito restaurant in Palmdale between Oct. 21 and Nov. 15 and hid in the stalls, according to the prosecutor.

Calvario would then record the women from the bathroom stall or leave a device behind that was secretly recording them, Yi said. During the same time period, Calvario also secretly recorded his girlfriend’s mother in a bathroom at a home.

A witness at the scene when Calvario was arrested said the boyfriend of one alleged victim attacked Calvario when he was discovered.
