A woman was in custody Saturday after police said she stabbed her boyfriend in the stomach while the two were in the parking lot of a Subway sandwich shop in Sylmar.
There was no indication from authorities of a motive for the attack.
What police called a “domestic incident” was reported at 11:07 p.m. Friday near Roxford Street and Glenoaks Boulevard, according to Sgt. Greg Bruce of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Mission Division.
The woman stabbed her boyfriend once in the abdomen, Bruce said.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was in stable condition. The woman was taken into custody and the knife was recovered at the scene, Bruce said.
No further details about the couple or the reason for the attack were immediately available.
