Robert Daniel Danielson, 31, pleaded no contest March 3 to one count each of voluntary manslaughter, attempted murder and vandalism, along with two counts of assault by means of force likely to commit great bodily injury.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies and paramedics found 26-year-old Nicole Medina on Oct. 24, 2015, at a mobile home park in the 36200 block of Paradise Ranch Road, just off the Templin Highway exit from Interstate 5 in the Grapevine Pass area, after her husband reported she was unresponsive.

She was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. An autopsy determined that Medina died from blunt force trauma to her head, according to the sheriff’s department.

Her husband was arrested later that evening after being interviewed by sheriff’s investigators and has remained behind bars since then.
