Police Wednesday hunted the mystery killer of a man and a woman in a possible gang-related shooting on a darkened South Los Angeles street corner.
Few details were available about the suspect who ran from the death scene. Police asked anyone with information about the killings to contact them.
The victims in the fatal double shooting in South Los Angeles were identified Wednesday.
The shooting occurred at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at 116th Street and Avalon Boulevard, said Sgt. T. Behrens, who declined to provide a first name or second initial, of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Station.
A woman, identified by the county coroner’s office as 23-year-old Shakere Chambers, was pronounced dead at the scene, Behrens said, and a male victim identified as 23-year-old Aaron Roseboro of Los Angeles died at a hospital. A place of residence was not listed for Chambers.
The shooter fled the scene, Behrens said, and a description was not available.
