The Beverly Hills Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the Mercedes-Benz driver who intentionally smashed his black mini-van station wagon into three boutiques and one office building on Rodeo Drive.
The suspect wore a block hoodie and a black baseball cap.
The vandalisms occurred between 1:25 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. Friday in the 300 and 400 blocks of North Rodeo Drive and the 100 block of South Rodeo Drive, according to the police department.
The male driver used the vehicle “to damage the glass storefronts and entrances,” but no property was taken during the crime spree, police reported.
The suspect is described as white, 20-25 years of age, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball cap at the time of the crimes, police reported.
The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be a black Mercedes R-Class with white paper plates and black lettering. The R-class sales have been discontinued in the United States as earlier reviews referred to it as part van, part station wagon.
Anyone with information about these crimes is encouraged to contact the Beverly Hills Police Department at (310) 285-2125.
