An 18-year-old woman remained jailed Monday in lieu of $2 million bail for allegedly fatally stabbing a fellow resident at a Granada Hills mental health care facility.
Ravneet Kaur is suspected of killing the 61-year-old woman around 4:20 a.m. Sunday at the group home in the 16500 block of Bircher Street, Los Angeles police said.

The victim died at the scene.
No information on a possible motive for the attack was released.
The coroner’s office said Monday that the victim’s family had not been notified so it was not releasing her name.
