Authorities Wednesday identified a 19-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in the north Glendale area.
Michael Nelson of La Crescenta died at a hospital following the crash, which occurred about 6 p.m. Tuesday at Foothill Boulevard and New York Avenue, the Glendale Police Department reported.
Nelson was riding a motorcycle that collided with a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old La Crescenta woman, who was not injured and was not driving while impaired, police said. She remained at the scene to be interviewed by police.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Nelson was the second motorcyclist killed in a crash this year in Glendale.
