A man was taken into custody Wednesday after authorities said he crashed a vehicle into a building in Montebello.

Just before midnight, officers ran the plate of the vehicle and records showed the vehicle was wanted in a crime, according to the Downey Police Department.

Officers followed the vehicle to Montebello where a minute-long pursuit ensued, culminating in a crash into a business in the area of Washington Boulevard and Greenwood Avenue, police said. No one was injured in the crash.

A gun and drugs were recovered from the vehicle, police said.

Video from the scene showed the vehicle into the front of what appeared to be a check cashing and payday loan type business.
