Firefighters in San Pedro Saturday put out a stubborn fire in the cabin and engine room of a 50-foot sports yacht docked in the Port of Los Angeles.

Firefighters will place floating booms on the vessel, which remains afloat, to contain any fuel or contaminants during the de-watering operation, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters dispatched at 6:18 a.m. to Berth 42 at the Port of Los Angeles, had the fire out within 29 minutes of their arrival, Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported. No other details were available, including a possible cause of the fire.
