A 58-year-old Huntington Beach woman was arrested at gunpoint while allegedly driving a stolen car in Laguna Beach, police announced Sunday.
The traffic stop happened about 10 p.m. Friday, in the 200 block of Forest Avenue in downtown Laguna Beach, Laguna Beach police Sgt. Jim Cota told the Orange County Register.

Officers had to use a police dog to force the woman to surrender, the paper reported. The arrest drew at least four police cars to the scene.
The woman was identified as Valerie Leigh Hewia. She was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and an outstanding warrant as well, Cota told the newspaper.
