Authorities Tuesday identified a 93-year-old woman who was fatally stabbed at a senior home in Long Beach.
The crime occurred about 3:15 p.m. Monday in the 3100 block of Artesia Boulevard, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Alice Pritchard of Los Angeles died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Police detained a woman for questioning in connection with the stabbing, but information on whether she was arrested was not immediately clear.
According to the Long Beach Press-Telegram, the stabbing occurred at The Chateau senior home, and the woman was detained by police at that location. Her name was not released.
