The coroner’s office Friday released the name of a 28- year-old man shot to death in Long Beach.
The shooting victim was identified as Alberto Ruiz, of Long Beach, said coroner’s Assistant Ed Winter.
Gunshots were reported at 2:31 a.m. Saturday near Fourth Street and Maine Avenue, police said.
Officers found Ruiz in the street with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting was possibly gang-related, police said.
