An attic fire damaged a pricey Beverly Hills home Tuesday, but no one was hurt.
The blaze inside the one-story, single-family residence at 5456 Hillgreen Place was reported at 11:57 a.m. Nearly four dozen firefighters knocked down the blaze in 25 minutes, confining the flames to the attic.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched because the address was initially misreported as being in LAFD jurisdiction, spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
“Once the (house) was located, we updated the address and notified Beverly Hills Fire Department, but we handled the fire,” she said.
The home is just south of Roxbury Park east of Century City.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the fire, nor was there an estimate of the damage. It wasn’t clear how long the residents of the home would be unable to return.
