Two people were shot, one of them fatally, in South Los Angeles Tuesday.
The shootings were reported about 2:40 p.m. in the 9800 block of South San Pedro Street, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Media Relations Section.
A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken, in stable condition, to a hospital, Madison said.
Family members told reporters at the scene the dead victim was 20 years old.
The mayor’s Crisis Response Team was also at the location.
News video showed a blue police canopy covering the deceased male about a block away from where the wounded victim was located.
