Two commercial buildings in Banning caught fire Wednesday, but no one was harmed in the blaze, which firefighters got under control in about two hours.
The fire broke out at 9:27 a.m. in a two-story concrete wall building near the intersection of West Lincoln Street and South Eighth Street, then spread to an adjacent commercial building, said Tawny Cabral of the Riverside County Fire Department.
Nearly four dozen county firefighters went to the scene along with crews from the Morongo Fire Department, Cabral said. The fire was contained at 11:28 a.m.
