A portion of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway was shut down Monday after a car-to-car shooting, authorities said.
It was reported at 1:53 a.m. on the northbound 605 at Alondra Boulevard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Nicholson.
One driver suffered moderate, non-life-threatening injuries, Nicholson said.
It was not known if the driver was wounded by the gunfire, and no suspect information was available.
A SigAlert was issued at 3:46 a.m. shutting down the northbound freeway just south of Alondra Boulevard so officers could search for shell casings, the officer said.
The freeway was re-opened at 5:50 a.m.
