A man who was fatally shot in the South Los Angeles area over the weekend was identified Wednesday, but his killer remains at large.

The crime was reported about 6:20 p.m. Saturday in the 11000 block of South Vermont Avenue, said Deputy Charles Moore of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Willie Williams, 65, of Los Angeles died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
