A fire damaged a two-story apartment building in the Cudahy area near Bell Gardens, and left one person injured, authorities said.
Firefighters sent to the 4800 block of Live Oak Street about 1:30 p.m. extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes, according to the county fire department.
The condition of the injured person was not immediately known.
