A car collided with an Expo Line train Saturday in the Exposition Park area near USC, and the motorist was hospitalized with injuries but no one was hurt on the train, a Metro spokeswoman said.

The collision took place about 11:20 a.m. between the Jefferson/USC station and the Expo/Vermont station at Watts Way, Metro spokeswoman Kim Upton said.

Both the train and the car were heading west, Upton said, when the car turned in front of the train.

The driver was treated at the scene by paramedics, Upton continued.

Expo Line trains experienced 15-minute delays in the aftermath of the crash, Upton said.
