A man who led law enforcement on an hourlong chase on multiple freeways in a Mustang that was reported stolen was in custody Tuesday after surrendering El Sereno.
The chase began sometime before 11 p.m. Monday in the Boyle Heights area, according to authorities.
The driver was seen speeding and running red lights throughout the chase.
The California Highway Patrol took over the chase at 11:13 p.m. on the northbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway, just north of Rosecrans Avenue in Norwalk, according to CHP Officer Tony Polizzi.
CHP officers used a PIT maneuver to end the chase in El Sereno. The man surrendered following the PIT maneuver.
