Officials sought the public’s help Wednesday in identifying an injured bicyclist who was brought to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills after he was hit by a vehicle in Van Nuys.

The man, who is believed to be in his early 30s, was injured Saturday in the 7700 block of North Van Nuys Boulevard and brought to the hospital’s trauma center, according to hospital spokeswoman Patricia Aidem.

The man is Latino, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 173 pounds with brown eyes, short black hair and a trimmed moustache and beard. He also has one tattoo on his ring finger that reads, “Maritza,” and another on his right forearm that reads, “Jade.”

The man’s condition was withheld in accordance with privacy laws.

Anyone who might be able to help identify the victim was urged to call the hospital at (828) 365-8051 and ask for the nurse supervisor’s office.
