A 26-year-old man was shot to death Friday at his mother’s home in Arleta, according to Los Angeles police.
The shooting took place about 8:20 p.m. on the 14200 block of Gager Street, according to LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.
Responding officers found a man, later identified as Steven Tang, unconscious and not breathing inside the home. Paramedics performed CPR on Tang but he died at the scene, according to police.
Detectives determined the attack was targeted and not random. Police said Tang had been confronted by the killer inside the home and there was a confrontation between Tang and his attacker.
The suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his 20s, according to police.
