Authorities Wednesday identified a young woman who was killed in a shooting in East Los Angeles that left another woman wounded.
The gunfire was reported at 11:09 p.m. Monday in the 4000 block of East Sixth Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Brandis Tovar, 21, of Lynwood died at the scene, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office reported.
The other woman was taken to a hospital in stable condition, said Deputy Wally Bracks. The shooting might have been gang-related, Bracks said.
